As our mind, wisdom & patient workability integrate today, let’s recognise that true & lasting protection & bonding ensue only from an all-encompassing spirituality, which simply put is the recognition of our own motherliness towards the entire creation, without an exception.

On the occasion of padi-n-éṭṭām pérukku (āḍi 18, celebrated y’day in TN 🇮🇳), it’s time to 🎊 celebrate 🎉 the most prevalent constituent <bhūtā> of all life, water💦, through the water-based🚿 rituals of yajur-vēda upa-karmā, renewing♻️our sacred thread🧵symbolising our triple respons-I-bilities towards ourselves, our ancestors (incl. animal & plant life from which we’ve evolved!) & global🌐society, 👩‍🎓graduating👨‍🎓 in the holistic knowledge🎓of 🐎 haya-grīva🐴, an aspect of our birthless Self’s apparent b’day🎁& relishing😋the self-assuringly🤺protective🛡bond🤝of rakṣā bandhan.

True 🔱 protection🛡<rakṣā> & 🤗bonding🤝<bandhan> ensue only from an🤰🏻all-encompassing🤱<rākhī> spirituality. Hence, this isn’t a🍾celebration🥳of the beautiful relationship between👧siblings👦alone. Instead, it’s the recognition of our oneness👆<yogā>🧘🏽‍♂️, with absolutely everything, that we now🤡foolishly🎭discriminate as separate from ourselves: the so-called “environment❣️

In fact, the first ever rākhī🌀sūtrā was tied by our own sensuality <indrāni> to her husband, the pinnacle of our own aggressively-passionate nature <rājasik guṇās @ indrā>. Our sensuality packed📦 into the consecrated🧵thread <rākhī sūtrā> the protective power generated by her own🧘‍♀️sādhanā, to ensure the victory✌️of our🤺passions <indrā> over our😴inertia💤 <tāmasik guṇās>, enroute to purification🛁<sāttvik guṇās>.

This Mon-day full moon 🌕 thus evokes aplenty:

  1. Our own mind’s (🌕 Moon’s) once-in-a-dozen-years series of conjunctions, simultaneously with our own wisdom (Jupiter) & BMI’s capacity for patient forbearance & dedicated work (Saturn 🪐) in our own Self’s quarter of elevating solitude uttarāśāḍā in the earthy doorway of Capricorn♑️<makarā>;
  2. yajur upakarma;
  3. hayagrīva Jayanti;
  4. rakṣā bandhan;
  5. padi-n-éṭṭām perukku (āḍi 18); &
  6. 27th anniversary of the mahā-samādhī of pūjya śrī svāmi chinmayānandā at Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego, CA🇺🇸, just days before he was one of only three monks of sanātana dharmā elected to address the centennial world parliament of religions at Chicago, IL 🇺🇸, in the illustrious footsteps of svāmi vivēkānandā. He was then replaced by the equally-illustrious satguru śivāya subramunīyasvāmi of Kauai ādhīnam̐, Hawaii🇺🇸.

It isn’t a mere coincidence that, be it👨human👩, Earth🌏, 🦒animal🦔or🌳plant🌱 , nearly three-fourths of all biological🧬systems are physically & chemically🧪constituted by H2O💧! Let’s🧘‍♀️meditate🧘🏽‍♂️on this basic life-sustaining element radiating from the 2nd subtle node of ourSelf-establishment (sva-adhiṣṭhāna/sacral nature) as the formless ultimate with a form (su-brahman-yā),  just below & behind the navel within the spinal cord, the seat of our own gut-wrenching wisdom, symbolised by Jupiter🟤<guru-guhā, murugā>, which rows 🚣‍♂️ us out of our illusion <māyā> of worldliness to our reality of spirituality.

All-inclusive🌝knowledge & bliss-personified🌞brilliance, unblemished🧼in a💠crystalline💎form, supportive♿️of all education📚whatsoever, I invoke within all of us the🐎horse-necked🐴<haya-grīvā> aspect of ourSelf, whose🌬neighing sound🗣is the very🍱source, sustenance🥛&🍦culmination of all learning🏫throughout life. Let’s strive to remain a👩‍🎓student👨‍🎓of Mother🌬️Nature forever, imbibing her motherliness, thus automatically & involuntarily expressing that🤰🏻motherliness in the form of love💕&🤱nurture, sharing💝with & caring for our incomparably & incomprehensibly rich treasure💰of biodiversity, threading📿it all together in our♾infinitely-long🧵rākhi sūtra.

    Hayagreevar, the guru who gave to the world the 4 vedas..well He enjoys his day being celebrated during Navaratri too, the next day of Saraswathi pooja. So authentic are His words , may be one begins to think the phrase ' from the horse's mouth'could have been metamorphosed from 'Hayagreeva's mouth'!. Water, the life line time to think to conserve and keep free from pollution the water in the rivers, lakes. come august, it is a spate of festivals....to the stomach too.!

    As always, your message is very unique and informative. This time, the message reminds us about the 5 in 1 eventful day. The Hayagriva Jayanthi is a big event that needs some focus. Being one of the manifestations of Lord Vishnu, Lord Hyagreevar took a rare and unique form of half-man and half-horse to restore the Vedas stolen by demons in the deep ocean. Lord Hayagreevar’s restoration reminding us to achieve new heights in our learning system and wisdom from the ocean of ignorance .This day is also nearly coincides with the timing of the release of New Education Policy by our Indian Government just a couple of days back. To know more about the Lord hayagreevar’s unique temple at Chettipunniyam, near Chennal, readers can browse the website : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0ihFSDBVe8

    Also learnt the significance of each festival in detail. Raksha Bandhan holds a special place in everyone's heart. This Hindu festival celebrated the special bond between brother and sister. Hayagriva Jayanti the birth anniversary of Lord hayagriva who is considered the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that the Lord hayagriva restored the Vedas to Brahma. The main purpose of the upakarma ritual is to offer prayers and Express the gratitude to those Rishi's who have the knowledge of Vedas and revealed vedic mantras to mankind. Upakarma refers to ritualistic beginning of learning Vedas.

    Never tried to know the real meaning of Rakhi till now. This article really deepens the meaning to whole creation as the sutra for spiritual development for all beings. This ever-sustained sutra with mother nature is apt in the sense of our living fully dependent on upkeep of this relation..
