With rakṣā bandhan precisely a week away, the🌙moon, traditionally termed our maternal uncle, candā-māmā, finally gives in to his loving👫sister, our Mother🌏Earth, bhū-mātā. He🌜accepts🌏her🧵rākhi in the form of conscious🛸prajñān, gift💝wrapped🎁in robust👣vikram̐ & her ārati🔥in the form of🛰️candrayāṇ-2 & -3, not to forget the📦delivery👦🏻boy, 🚀LVM-III (erstwhile GSLV-Mark III), the🐴workhorse🏇of👩🏻🔬the👨🏻💻workaholic🥼amaze-ON ISRO, the👑crest-jewel💎 & the pride of🇮🇳bhārat🪷.
A tremendous opportunity indeed to far more consciously explore rather than rampagingly exploit natural resources. Mother Earth has already borne the brunt. She has been savagely ravaged by setting Western & besetting Middle-Eastern greed for at least half a millennium. Resetting back to our re-rising core Eastern consciousness, it’s time to self-discipline our entire species of homo sapiens as a whole to handle the rest of our universal🌌family with much more empathetic🧖🏻♀️care than we did with our unfortunate🌏mother.
May this gesture of long-term intelligence begin with our🌒uncle, for he’s our only natural satellite which has tremendously-tsunamic🌊influence, especially on the ~71% water💦content of our🌎planet’s surface, 45–75% by weight of our human bodies & of course our 💯% fluidy🫗emotional🥹minds❣️
Needless to say, as a faculty member at the womb of Indian aerospace, I'm immensely proud of & inexpressibly delighted with the contributions of all@ISRO, in general, & the 16 NMCADet-ISRO scientists, in particular, who've researched towards their MTech dissertations or PhD thesis with me. And, of course, the captain of the ship, ISRO Chairman śrī sōm-nāth-ji, happened to be my immediate junior at IISc, working with my favourite professor, the Late S. pradīp, & had gone on to become the gold medalist of his batch. No wonder PM śrī naréndrabhāi mōdiji pointed out to him over a phone call that who else could so successfully steer candra-yān-3 than “the lord of the Moon,” the literal meaning of sōm-nāth, 1 of the 12 jyōtir-liṅgās, consecrated time & again after desecrations galore over the last 1,200 years in gujarāt: The never-say-die spirit. mērā bhārat mahān. sārē jahān sé acchā. jaihind. namaskāram̐.
