Talking about “in & around,” while we could gain absolute control over the “in,” the “around” is always determined entirely by our own PAST thoughts, words & actions <karmā>, deeply entrenched in our memory within every cell of our body & the nooks & corners of our mind. Thus, we’ve no choice but to accept the “around” exactly the way it is. This “around” is inevitable.
In other words, facing the “around” as it is, is not even an option, it’s the only possibility. But to face it either 😊joyously😃 or ☹️grudgingly😡 is definitely a🤞choice. To face it either accidentally or with awareness is surely a choice. Many 🏫 ‘educated’ fools amongst us choose accident over awareness, picking 😡 grudge over joy😆, & hence suffering seems inevitable.
Time for some magic🎩? Merely, change the choice. Lo & behold, 🏋️♀️suffering is now rendered optional! And who the hell would wanna choose 🏋️suffering? Either a 🤢masochist🥴 or a 🤡fool👻 or both‼️Converting the universal law of 🤼♀️action <karma> into an individual game of 🏸playfulness <līla> is always entirely our own choice.
Let’s exercise the ballot🗳 wisely, whether it’s in life or in elections! Those of us who don’t do the former, rarely do the latter too!
Once the right choice has been made, it’s 🥳 party 🎈 🎉 time: srāvana. The festivals of the month include
- our weekly auspicious fairness <Mangala Gowri> today & every Tuesday of the month;
- our serpentine & eagling fifth 5️⃣<Nāga-Garuda Panchami> this Saturday;
- our boon <Vara-mahā-Lakshmi-vratā> on the last day of July;
- the birthday 🎁party of our own 🧈butterly-delighted & utterly-dark⚫️ black-holish🕳 attractiveness <Krsna> as a full-scale replica of our own temporarily-dormant everythingness <Vishnu>;
- re-birth-day 🍰party of our own lost-&-found 📚knowledge📖 💰treasure-house 🏡 <vedas>, this time delivered by the neighing horse-necked🐴 model of our own still-hibernating everythingness;
- our own 👩🎓graduation👨🎓 to deepen our inner realms of 🎓learning <vedas>, by getting up close with our own karmā <upā-karmā>;
- rebirth of Bharat 🇮🇳 (Independence Day)...
We’ll rest the sampling here as we’ve our hands full this month!
It’s just 😯 amazing 😮 to note 📝 how much of depth 🌊 there’s in the very system of nomenclature our ancients extracted from the very sounds of those names. Be it people, consecrated entities, seasons, festivals or observances <vratā>. One such is today’s vratā, ripe for us to train ourselves in exercising the powers of our choice to alter the “in,” irrespective of the “around.” Absolutely no room for complaints, carping & cribbing (sic) anymore!
