Every year, occurring a couple of days before⏪the⏩ultimately-fulfilling☺️night🌌of our own🕳️nothingness🧜🏿‍♂️[mahā-śi-va-rātri] is a🌘specially-victorious🪟preparatory [vi-jaya ékā-daśi]. It was even more special in 2023 as the latter occurred in🧙🏿‍♂️mystical🪬kétū’s⚕️mūlā🧭nakṣa-trā🛡️& wise👨🏻‍🏫guru’s ♐️dhanur🏹rāśi💰.

🥅Goal-oriented🌎Western🏫education has taught us to strive for victories & thrive in the latter or in its🔮hope⚠️ Ours🇮🇳is, however, a🪷culture where the very process of preparation is thoroughly relished as a✌🏽victory in the💝present, irrespective of the actual outcome in the non-existent dream called “future☣️”

No wonder, a single sam̐s-krit word defines both “preparation” & “achievement”: sādhanā ❣️In fact, for those of us inhabiting🛖the↖️Northern↗️hemisphere⬆️of planet🌏Earth, the🥮entire🍂fall🍁semester🌨️of📅Jul—Jan🥶with a naturally-inherent tendency for🔽downwardenergy⚡️flows [dakśin-āyanā], when our❤️‍🔥passionate☄️aggression [rajō guṇā] 🥱slumbers💤 [tamō guṇā], is considered most conducive for the “genuine wealth” [dhana] accumulatory [] path [pādā] of preparatories: sā-dhana-pādā

This year’s (2024) specially-victorious preparatory [vi-jaya ékā-daśi] is from 1:41 a. m. Wednesday, March 6th to 12:11  a. m. Thursday, March 7th. My enjoyment of a 42-hour fortnightly🗓️fast🍽️ (or rather upa-vāsā: even the tiny-temporary BMI’s proximity to the omnipresent♾️ eternal divinity👼🏼of🕉️ourSelf) as usual begins at🕕6PM on daśami (Tuesday, March 5th) & goes on to 12🕛Noon on dvādaśi (Thursday, Mar 7th), setting THE perfect 👌 ambiance for the super Friday night out ahead❣️
