Orphaned at a tender age by a strange tryst with destiny of her parents, growing up on alms while selflessly singing away to glory along with her 3 little yet elder brothers, muktā-bāi is considered no less than a partial derivative <amś-āvatār> of our own primal power <ādi-śakti> w.r.t. the varkāris in nāth sam-pra-dāyā. That was indeed advanced calculus for that age.
724 revolutions of our planet 🌏 around our lone star 🌞 … yes, 724 years ago exactly this day, this phenomenally rhapsodic kid sister & śiśyā of sant dnyān-éśwar is said to have left her mortal coil at the tender age of 18, but not before bequeathing us with a treasure trove of 41 devotional poems in marāthi called abhangs, literally “endless” knowledge-encapsulated praises of pandhar-pur vittalā, sung continually in communion.
In the context of muktā-bāi’s vittalā, check out the video above for a discourse & song on the true advaitic significance of ourSelf <vittalā> as well as our body-mind-intellect (BMI) toolkit with burgeoning fame <yaśōdā>, in the special role as ourSelf’s foster mom, in the endearing words of purandara-dāsā.
Some of these concentrated doses of wisdom packaged in love end with the thematic refrain “Our entire universe is merely a piece of cloth woven with nothing but a single thread of brahman. So please open the door, O jñān-éśwar!” The darkness-dispelling guru, @ our 9th chakrā a couple of leaps above the sahasrārā, is indeed our doorway to ♾ possibilities.
Breaking all barriers of age, gender, caste, creed & lingo, let’s get drenched by this confluence of effervescent devotion in the heart & supreme knowledge in the head, seamlessly traversing the bridge of dvaita-advaita siddhāntās!

Thank you for bringing out the story from a region to a bigger audience. We are not aware of many such Sant and Mahapurush from our beloved Bharat. Om Namo Narayan.

Dhanyosmi śarmāji. You’re absolutely right that there are so many wonderful hidden gems to be discovered in every generation & every nook & corner of akhand bhāratvārśā.
