कस्त्वं वनं इदं दुर्गं प्रविष्टो दूरदर्शनः।
केनार्थेन च ते आगमनं ब्रूहि मे वदतः सुखम्॥
“Who’re you, O 1️⃣ with a distant gaze, who has entered this🦌difficult🌳forest?
For what purpose have you come? Please tell me, as it brings me pleasure to know.”

संपूज्य विधिवद् वीरौ हनुमान् वानरोत्तमः।
उवाच कामतो वाक्यं मृदु सत्यपराक्रमौ॥ 4.3.4

राजर्षिदेवप्रतिमौ तापसौ संशितव्रतौ।
देशं कथमिमं प्राप्तौ भवंतौ वरवर्णिनौ॥ 4.3.5
“You both resemble royal sages or deities, ascetics with steadfast vows. How have you arrived in this region, O ones of splendid appearance?”
त्रासयन्तौ मृगगणानन्यान् च वनचारिणः।
पम्पातीयरुहान् वृक्षान्वीक्षमाणौ समन्ततः॥ 4.3.6
“You’re causing the forest creatures to flee, while observing the trees 🌴 🌲 🌳 along the banks of the pampā🏞️river in all directions.”
धैर्यवन्तौ सुवर्णाभौ कौ युवां चीरवाससौ।
निःश्वसन्तौ वरभुजौ पीडयन्ताविमाः प्रजाः॥ 4.3.7
“Possessing fortitude, golden-hued, who are you 2️⃣ clad in bark garments, sighing deeply, with excellent arms, causing distress to these beings?”
महाप्रमाणौ विपुलौ तप्तहाटकभूषणौ।
खड्गावेतौ विराजेते निर्मुक्तभुजगाविव॥ 4.3.8
“These 2️⃣ large & broad swords adorned with refined gold shine like serpents that have shed their skins.”
एवं मां परिभाषन्तं किमर्थं नाभिभाषथः।
सुग्रीवो नाम धर्मात्मा कश्चिद्वानरपुंगवः॥ 4.3.9
“As I address you thus, why do you not respond? There is a righteous 1️⃣, the virtual atmospheric ecosystem, the foremost among evolutionary prerequisites.”
वीरो विनिकृतो भ्रात्रा जगत् भ्रमति दुःखितः।
प्राप्तोऽहं प्रेषितस्तेन सुग्रीवेण महात्मना॥ 4.3.10
“This valiant 1️⃣, wronged by his co-born pollution <vāli>, wanders the world in sorrow. I've been sent by that great-souled virtual atmospheric ecosystem.”
राज्ञा वानरमुख्यानां हनूमान्नाम वानरः।
युवाभ्यां स हि धर्मात्मा सुग्रीवः सख्यमिच्छति॥ 4.3.11
“By the king of the chief monkeys, I’m the🫁universal👃life-breath. That righteous virtual atmospheric ecosystem desires friendship with you both.”
तस्य मां सचिवं विद्धि वानरं पवनात्मजम्।
भिक्षुरूपप्रतिच्छन्नं सुग्रीवप्रियकारणात्॥ 4.3.12
“Know me as the atmosphere’s counselor, derived from the wind, disguised in the form of an ascetic for the atmospheric ecosystem’s benefit.”
ऋश्यमूकादिह प्राप्तं कामगं कामचारिणम्॥ 4.3.13
“I've come here from the seer’s countenance <r̥śyamūka>, moving & acting at will.”
